Hello Lazies.

The purple and gold are back on top of the NBA universe, clinching their record-tying 17th franchise championship last night against the Miami Heat.

NBA superstar and Lakers leader, LeBron James, added another chapter to an epic career, delivering 28 points, 14 rebounds, and ten assists as he captured his fourth title with a third team. Yet, Miami would not let the Lakers just roll right over them as it took six games for LA to clinch the championship. This Heat team had an outstanding season, and although it wasn’t enough, it was definitely worth remembering.

Adding to that, the once isolated and black sheep, Jimmy Butler, has finally found his true self and revealed to the world that he is the man to lead Miami back to the Finals, and eventually to a championship.

LeBron deserved the Finals MVP and undoubtedly steered the Lakers back to the top, but he knew they couldn’t get there without Anthony Davis. Davis was a force to be reckoned with throughout the Playoffs and Finals. He shut down the unstoppable players and scored when LA desperately needed it. You could say this year’s season was LeBron paving the path for AD, for him to take over eventually.

Side Note: Unfortunately, all things must come to an end, as this will be the last issue for the season. As all my loyal lazies will know, THE lazy NBA will now step back into hibernation and return back to your inbox at the start of next season, whenever that will be.

Thank you so much for supporting and following this little project of mine, and I can’t wait to start it all back up again for the 2020-21 season.

But for now and until next season, zzz…
