Hello Lazies.

The Dallas Mavericks are finally back in the Playoff picture for the first time since 2016. Luka Dončić and Kristaps Porziņģis are also set to make their NBA Playoff debut, and the task at hand is a very challenging one.

We’re about to find out just how good these Dallas Mavericks are, who are facing the very talented No. 2 seed Los Angeles Clippers. Nearly every expert in the media existence has the Mavericks falling short, but I have a gut feeling that it’s not going to be that clear cut.

Yes, the Mavericks are 0-3 against the Clippers this season, and yes, their defensive woes continue, who ranks 21 out of the 22 teams in Orlando in defensive efficiency. Both these two stats immediately call for an ‘uh-oh’ feeling when matching up against the Clippers and taking into account its Playoff basketball. But to be honest, the Clips weren’t too hot either in the eight seeding games in the bubble.

LA has the talent to get the job done, but are they jelling enough to simply flip the switch and dominate? In those eight games, the Clippers hardly resembled a team that many feel had outstanding championship potential, and the Mavericks are considered a dark horse in the race. It’s all up in the air, and tonight’s game will be a great showcase in how this series might go down.

Catch you Thursday.
