It’s slim pickings around the NBA, regarding headlines, when the only new content you can find is Ja Morant doing his own player introduction, in full uniform, at his home. But these are the times we live in.
At this time of year, the NBA should be at full throttle with excitement and drama overflowing the media outlets. That was until the temporary suspension, which left the 2019-20 NBA season to come to a screeching halt. To make this unbearable pain even more profound, there are now reports coming out that the season might not be back in action till mid-June, in it’s best scenario.
Take Skip Bayless’s words when he spoke out about life without sports:
“In my LIFE I’ve never been without sports to watch. I admit I’ve long been happily addicted. Now I’m suffering serious withdrawal. This is obviously for the right reason. We all must do our part. But that hasn’t made this weekend any easier. Maybe you can relate.”
The coronavirus has shown the public that we all take sports for granted, and never in our wildest dreams we thought that the endless waterfall of content could be turned off. It’s a dark day for sports, and one that will be remembered for a long time.
Catch you Thursday.
