Has anyone noticed that the Milwaukee Bucks have the best record in the NBA? With a 43-14 win-loss record, it’s like the NBA community continuously turns a ‘blind eye’ about this team and its whereabouts.
ESPN reporters are even blasting statements about how this team needs to be taken seriously. The Washington Post also described the Bucks as “a riveting juggernaut hiding in plain sight”. And still, absolute radio silence about this team. So let’s break this down.
The statistics about this team are outrageous. They have the most rebounds per game (48.8), 2nd in points (116.9), blocks (5.9), field goal percentage (48), and have made more three-pointers than the Golden State Warriors (744). To sum it up, this team is tall, aggressive, and an unstoppable scoring machine. Even last nights game against the Indiana Pacers, they rallied together from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to cruise past with the W (106-97).
Everything this team does, revolves around making the game easier for their superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, and it’s paying off. Beyond the numbers, this team has drawn comparisons to another 2015 powerhouse, the Golden State Warriors in their first year under Steve Kerr. Their new coach, Mike Budenholzer, has transformed this team, stuffed all the missing pieces, and fed them with confidence. I guess theres no press due to the fact that the Bucks haven’t proven themselves. Let’s see how this team goes down the stretch.
