Lonzo Ball from the Los Angeles Lakers is in a spot where no rookie ever wants to be. They all wish to be the next big star, and in return is given the intense NBA pressure, held up by their shoulders. However, Lonzo’s NBA skills haven’t lived up to their expectations.
I hated reading all the coverage of Lonzo, as most of it was all just click bate. However, I finally came across a solid, well thought out and structured article, focusing on his ‘sling-shot’ shooting style. Kevin O’Connor from The Ringer really puts a number on Lonzo and doesn’t shy away from the details.
In short, he’s shooting style sucks, and desperate changes are needed to be made. Ball is designed to be a killer-pass player, allowing all his fellow teammates the ability to get involved in the game. But from this never-ending shooting slump, he hasn’t been able to showcase his playmaking abilities.
If Ball wants to be a superstar in the NBA, he needs to be able to score. Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, John Stockton, and Chris Paul (all past players who have the same style as Lonzo), all enhanced their playmaking abilities by being able to score.
Head over to The Ringer, and discover the details that Kevin brings up about Lonzo’s broken shot. That is if you can handle another article, based on the Big Baller.
Catch you Monday.
