Hello Lazies.

That’s right, year 2 has officially begun and I welcome all the old and new lazies to the first issue of the 2017-18 NBA season. Just like last year, this issue has come just before the first game, so instead of scores and current news, I have focused on pre-season action and predictions to bring you up to speed.

To focus on one detail from the pre-season, John Wall (above) and the Washington Wizards agreed to a $207 million extension deal to stay through to 2023, and play the prime of his career with the Wizards.

Wall, aged 26 and averaged 23.1 points and 10.7 assists per game, just finished his seventh season with the Wizards and clearly planned to at least double his time with the franchise. Wall’s commitment to a long-term deal ensures stability and continuity to an organization ready to take the next step. That next step would be the Eastern Conference Finals, as they just missed out to the Celtics last year.
