Kyrie Irving from the Cleveland Cavaliers is the perfect sidekick for LeBron James. After an off-beat Game 3 from James, Tuesday night was one of those rare instances when LeBron was struggling to grab back his confidence, and Kyrie bailed him out.
Kyrie thrives side by side with James and Love as part of Cleveland’s big three, but he is most valuable in the rare cases when James struggles. When the team needs points, and their alpha is off the court, the simplest solution is to give Irving the ball and let him be the scorer that he is.
To put it bluntly, letting Irving play isolation ball in dire times, is the most sensible and successful decision the Cavaliers can make.
Catch you Monday.
