Isaiah Thomas from the Boston Celtics is ‘Mr 4th Quarter’. The 5-foot-9-inch (1.75 m) point guard is a two-time NBA All-Star currently with a career high scoring average of 29.8 percent per game.
Why is Thomas called ‘Mr 4th Quarter’? It’s from the fact that he takes over games at the final stretch. To give you an idea of just how good Thomas has been in the clutch, he’s averaged 16.0 points, 2.5 assists, 57.1 FG%, 44.4 3PT%, and 100 FT% JUST in the fourth quarter. Thomas is currently on pace to score more 4th quarter points than any player in franchise history.
The Celtics are sitting quietly at 2nd spot on the Eastern Conference – 2 games behind Cleveland Cavaliers – and after his recent game against the Mavericks, Thomas said: “We’re always looking forward. That’s the team ahead of us. I know my sights are set on Cleveland, though the others probably aren’t worried about them. We’re in reach, but we just have to keep it going.”
Catch you Monday.
